Five for Friday: Travel and Leisure Edition

Every Friday, I’ll post five fun, uplifting or edifying links for your reading enjoyment. This week’s Five for Friday:

  1. How women’s clothing choices come under attack (no matter what we wear), as depicted in cartoon form.
  1. I love author Cheryl Strayed’s 3 pieces of advice for mothers who want to pursue their passion. (Her third point, as you might guess, is my favorite.)
  1. And speaking of Cheryl Strayed—here’s a video that lets you hike the PCH (the same trail Strayed hiked throughout her gorgeous memoir, Wild) without leaving your home.
  1. Not into hiking? Here’s an intriguing map of great road trips from American literature. (The only thing missing? The fact that American women also write about road trips.)
  1. And finally: I got a new bread machine this week, so I’ve been making loaf after loaf of this delicious, soft, gluten-free Buttermilk Bread. Give it a try this weekend! You won’t be sorry.
