Five for Friday: Intro Edition

Every Friday, I’ll be posting five links to fun, uplifting or edifying articles. Sometimes those links will be connected by a theme. Sometimes they’ll be a somewhat random assortment of things I’ve come across during the week. And sometimes, they’ll feature the work of fellow bloggers that I hope you’ll go back to on your own. But I’ll always feature posts that are worth your reading time, so be sure to come back every Friday and check out my list of links.

This week’s offerings:

  1. The next time you find yourself at a loss for words, try one of these untranslatable words from other cultures.
  1. As you might have suspected, setting goals (and writing them down) is therapeutic.
  1. Do you use “permission words” in the workplace? Here’s why you need to stop.
  1. Do you know a girl who’s running low on summer reading options? Check out these recommended box sets from A Mighty Girl, featuring strong female protagonists of all ages.
  1. If you, like me, were born in the mid-1960s, this one is required reading: why Gen X is the Jan Brady of generations. (Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!)

Happy weekend!
